Many, many years ago, I learned that keeping an awful secret hidden can make a person literally crazy. I know, because I kept one for 24 years and I swore that I would take it to my grave with me but the guilt just got worse and worse and worse everyday until it dam*ed near sent me over the edge. I had no other choice. I HAD to screw up the courage to "fess up" because I had realised that I was going to either go totally insane or do something really stupid. And when I finally DID tell, it turned out to NOT be so bad after all. If I had just told it years before, I could have saved myself a LOT of mental anguish.

"What are you going to do, bleed on me?"

lol. If I ever shot anybody with a gun I think I'd start sobbing and beg them for forgiveness. I'm not cut out for that sort of thing.
