The chimp has over exceeded executive powers long enough. Its time he stopped ignoring the will of the people and the Legislative branch that was just elected. Its shameful how arrogant and ignorant bush is.

Nope, vetoes have been used before and the nation will survive, in fact the only previous veto he used was to ban stem cell research on any new strains. Sending all those interested to foreign countries and showing his usual contempt for science. In that respect he is unusual, most presidents veto more bills than that, but he has had his party in power in congress up to now.
Now congress must do its mandated job to oversee the budget, and Bush isn't happy about having his blank checks overseen. But that is the process of democracy and we the people are taking it back.

Why would it? The veto power is esconced in the Constitution. It's one of the checks and balances set up between the branches of government to make sure none is getting too much stronger than the other two.

NO, it's what called checks and balances, though the balance of power has been for the last few years with the exectutive branch unfortantly. The President has every right to veto a bill and Congress has the right to overdie him as well.

Oh, please... the veto has been one of the executive powers since the constitution was ratified. It's one of the checks and balances built in to the system. But I bet since suddenly this goes against what you think is the way things ought to be done, it's suddenly "a threat do democracy".

Of course not. Presidents have used veto before and Bush should have used it more. The Democrats are violating all sensible reasoning by all the pork in the bill and the unconstitution infringement of the president's power as commander in chief.
