The governor is thinking about doing many things to get more money for the state of Michigan. Some ideas are raise the gasoline tax by 9 cents over the next 3 yrs, raise registration fees, add another tax on ciggerettes, or have a 2 cent tax on services such as haircuts. Michigan is hurting and so are our schools. What would you vote for to raise more money?

Raising taxes has never and will never make Michigan a better state. Her socialistic methods will only put our state in worse trouble than it is in now. Jobs is what Michigan needs , not taxes. Her "Pay as you go" taxes only reward the ones who cannot perform their jobs right now. The school system in Michigan is a mess. teachers should be paid a good rate for their difficult job, but, as a laid off auto supplier worker in Michigan, it seems to me that all state employees need to pay more of their medical benefits then they do now. It is okay to help the people that need help, but, she wants society in Michigan to depend on the Government to take care of them instead of getting them a job so they can be independent. I have no idea why this women got elected in the first place, but now she owes her supporters the money to pay them back. We need a leader in our state , not a leach who intends on sucking every dime out of every Michigan native and business in the state. I am awaiting a recall petition on this mad women.

Should have voted for DeVos! Have a Billionaire help bring in business to a hurting state was a good idea. Instead, they (democraps) re-elected a career politician who does not have the people's best interest at heart. Gotta elect someone who will keep the entitlement programs going for all the lazy people!

Actually, the governor is a she (Jennifer Granholm, a Democrat).

If the schools in Michigan are "hurting," why is the average teacher salary in Michigan the third highest in the country? But, when your governor is in the back pocket of the MEA, I guess we shouldn't be surprised.

Funny, the state never seemed to be that bad off when Engler ran it.

TAX POLITICAL FUNDRAISERS. The Governer had ten million from her last fund raiser to ad to this one. That left-over
money should have went to our schools. Agree?

Deport the illegals that are sucking the coffers dry! It would also free up jobs for displaced autoworkers.
