I dreamed that a family friend (of my 70 yo mom's) was having me assassinated because I owed him about $300K. I didn't even know I owed the money, and his guys were actually shooting at me. I took refuge in -- guess where -- the vice president's office!! What the ***? Any ideas on what this could mean?

I have been very depressed, and I was thinking very depressed thoughts as I went to sleep. I have plenty to feel guilty about :(

Goodness! It sounds like guilt of some sort....
I usually go look at the other person's questions before I can give a more complete answer to a question like this, as the other questions can offer clues as to what is going on. A couple of your questions the past few months do offer small clues as to possible reasons for the guilt and depression, but for most part, you are keeping much of it to yourself. I have heard it said before that depression is anger turned inward. It might be a good idea for you to seek counseling on your own and treatment for depression on your own. Only you can tell what your mother's friend symbolizes to you personally, that you feel this friend passing judgement on you, and calling in such a debt. It is not necessarily anything that you owe this person, but something this person represents to you, in connection to those things that you feel guilty about, like what would this person have to say if they knew? Would this person pass judgement, or otherwise think that you owe a "debt " of some sort. I found the comment above about seeking refuge in a "higher office "by the poster above me interesting, it wouldn't hurt to seek communion with the God of your personal understanding, and a closer relationship with same.

You have guilt over something.
The amount of money is rather high, so I'd say this is something big either to you or the person(s) you harmed.
What you owe is possibly an apology to someone.
VP could represent your need to take refuge in a higher "office" such as confession of what you feel guilty over to the Lord.

Dreams have no meaning in real life. Often they are a product of your anxieties, or they are a representation of your current state of mind. Dreams are simbolic of things that are taking place in your waking life.......you feel guilt about something you feel you
owe someone...possibly someone assiciated with your mom.
This could also be from the deeper subconscious and distant past, as this is the time the energy is telling us to to fess up to be ethical in all areas. Is there something you did (even as
a child) that you carry guilt about.????
