You forgot to mention that your philosophy is to help those in need by using other peoples' money. The wealthiest liberal politicians are among the worst contributors to charity and the best at dodging the taxes they impose on the hard working taxpayers of America.
Oh, and by the way, you won control of the congress by the narrowest of margins despite the president's low poll numbers. I wouldn't write off the conservatives just yet if I were you. Part of the president's low polling is because conservatives are displeased with him. You don't think that will translate into votes for democrats do you?

Let me see, liberals want to take more of my earnings? They want to put a larger tax burden on low income wage earners. (bring back the 10% bracket) They want bigger government someone has got to pay. They want illegals to have all the rights of Americans. Again who will pay? They want to discourage personal accomplishment by taking away what was earned. Don't actually know how this is helping anyone. Maybe Liberals ought to practice their philosophy instead of making statements that attack people as you have done in statement.
Here is an idea. Try to go one day without belittling anyone.

Passing out oodles of welfare checks and benefits does nothing to "upraise the downtrodden" but rather sends the message that they won't ever be capable of pulling themselves up by the bootstraps! It's a form of entrapment!

Well, the way it works in reality is that liberals' philosophy is to "do something" to show everybody how much they care, but whose enacted policies don't really help them very much. Some of the policies have even exacerbated the situations of the poor, creating a cycle of poverty and dependence.
But they don't ever go back and re-evaluate the situation - if it is getting worse, they just call for more money, rather than admit they or their policies were wrong.

Liberals believe the job of government is to make our lives better. Conservatives who claim they are against this take advantage of government programs all the time. The same CEOs who complain about taxes take advantage of the huge corporate welfare they get. Small buisnesses owners get enormous tax breaks. Even taking out a federal loan to goto college is the government making our lives better.

Conservatives are more charitable.
"It turns out that this idea that liberals give more…is a myth. Of the top 25 states where people give an above average percent of their income, 24 were red states in the last presidential election.
Arthur Brooks, the author of "Who Really Cares," says that "when you look at the data, it turns out the conservatives give about 30 percent more." He adds, "And incidentally, conservative-headed families make slightly less money."
And he says the differences in giving goes beyond money, pointing out that conservatives are 18 percent more likely to donate blood. He says this difference is not about politics, but about the different way conservatives and liberals view government.
"You find that people who believe it's the government's job to make incomes more equal, are far less likely to give their money away," Brooks says. In fact, people who disagree with the statement, "The government has a basic responsibility to take care of the people who can't take care of themselves," are 27 percent more likely to give to charity.

i think to be a true believer of the left cause, we would have to include those who are downtrodden from the right as well. It would boost our numbers as well as validate our point that we care about the ideals of society and wish to give help to all, not just those who support us,

Then why don't you start helping your fellow Americans. Also, just because you think someone needs help doesn't mean that they actually do. People can think for themselves.
