lol. I felt the same way, but I was with my daughter buying bras. They actually fit her so I will not complain about lighting if that is what it takes for her to wear a bra. I would rather have someone there who knows about fit and size, also, then have her complain and I have to take them back......Target has a lousy exchange policy, btw. I don't mind spending the extra money or time going to the mall so that she finds something she will actually wear. But they should fix those lights...... :-)

If I had to wager a bet, I'd say probably to make some of their products look more appealing and look more appealing on some of the people trying them on.

its set up that way so that the average woman feels hideous about herself and how she'll never measure up to the VS models. The modeling industry thrives on women's lack of self esteem, because if we truly felt good about ourselves, we sure wouldn't need them to tell us what to wear to feel confident and sexy.

Dim lights help with the imagination for those that just wish they were hot (there are more pudgy women than hot women I'd guess).
