This is such a stupid question OMG I work in health care your not allowed to treat people different. A poor person receives the same care a rich person does. As a matter of fact we dont know the income of an individual when they come into the hospital. So feel safe its ok to get sick!!!

A poor person. I see them all the time in the ER for colds, flu, and other non emergency issues. They use it as there personal Dr. They know they cant pay and will get some assistance or the hospital will write it off. If the Dogs had it soo good then why dont I see poor people trying to get into the vet?

a poor person because there is madicade now if they are to lazy to go down and fill out the paperwork to receive the free health care that's their own lazy fault. Now with the pet it is up to the owners to take them and pay for their health care there is really no insurance for any animal that you can get through work or as part of your job and if you want pet insurance you have to pay for it.

Well to my knowledge we are not yet paying taxes for pet health care and I don't think we Emergency vets are compelled to accept any animal brought to their offices.
I don't think our pets are expected to go to work everyday and pick up a pay check. I don't think a person would be subject to euthanasia if they couldn't afford treatment.
If one cannot afford to take care of their pet's health they should not have one.
