A funeral can take place any time after death (UK).
It can be days or weeks, depends on your country, religion, whether there are any questions about the death, whether a will is in evidence.
In the UK, funerals quite often take place a week or two later. My Mum was buried 15 days after passing.
My cousin will probably be much longer, as no will can be found, to find out if he had any wishes/instructions for the family.
Some religions say that burial should take place within 24 hours.

It depends on alot of factors...one was it an atteneded death or unatteneded, meanign was there a doctor present or in healh care facilty and were there unusual circulstances behind the death. Religion also plays a factor, some Jewish faiths state funeral within 24 hours...but on the whole it usually 2-3 days after.

properly, the kinfolk plans and arranges for the funeral, so which you're asking the incorrect people. The funeral will take place on the day and time that your loved ones arranges it for. i do no longer know what Buddhist custom on the priority is, yet that basically concerns in the journey that your loved ones DOES know and chooses to stick to it. heavily, you act as in case you think of a funeral is something at once carried out on some style of standardized gadget.

This very much depends on the circumstances surrounding the death of a person. For example, there might have to be a postmortem. This will mean the body being kept in the chill cabinet for a few days.
For religious purposes, Muslims usually bury their dead [I think] no later than 24hours thereafter.
As for myself, a simple bonfire in the garden will do.

It all depends on religion and circumstances.
Some religions state the body should be buried the next day, some within a week.
Then there is the case of a suspicious death such as murder where it could be months until they are allowed to be buried.
