If you're bleeding for that length of time, when that's not normal, then you should get yourself off to the Doctors.

In the meanwhile get to the chemist and see if they can recommend a good multivitamin and a good iron supplement, as bleeding for this length of time can make you anaemic. Also make sure you're drinking plenty of water and try and limit your sugar and fat intake.

When I'm really heavy I wear maximum absorbency thin towels and sometimes tampons too (although they can sometimes make the pain worse), and make sure that I change them every 1-2 hours. I also wear dark trousers or jeans (because jeans are thicker material any leakage doesn't show straight away).

Wishing you lots of luck hon, I hope you can get sorted quickly.

The pill might have something to ddo with it. My best friend went on the pill and she had her period for 2 months. But after the first month she was good. The period was a light flow and she didn't have cramps. Nothing. But honestly go to the Doctor to find out just how serious it is.

This sounds like breakthrough bleeding (which is bleeding that occurs at other times during the month) and it can act a lot like a period.

Some kinds of infections such as with the cervix can cause this kind of bleeding.

You need to see your dr to have this evaluated to see what could be causing the problem.
