Don’t you think we had enough of this reservation in the Indian Politics that now every one here is asking about it, as an Indian I sometime feels ashamed when people around the world ask "What This Bloody Reservation Is All About?" We all know it is only a political game of these petty politicians who otherwise have not only grown so old with both their legs hanging in grave but they are good for nothing. So my dear friend I hope this will be the last question in this regard. Hell with this reservation which has spoiled the whole nation. Article 14 of the Constitution talks of equality but Articles 15, 16 17... Brings in the importance of reservation just to bring unequal to the meet the equals. How long we will support such a view as now those unequal have already passed ahead of equals but still because of political reasons the Govt. of India & these politicians want to continue this reservation issue so their kitchen stoves remain burning otherwise who will care about them & they will be get unemployed, begging alms on street.

Reservation is no doubt an effective tool for the amelioration of the lots of SC/ST. Many of the SCs, at least in the Southern States have been benefited. By virtue of reservation, many of them could get good education and come to occupy important positions. This may not be the case among the large chunk of the class in majority of the States. I think we should not grumble this special treatment to them.

As regards the reservation to OBCs, I have a different opinion. The recent SC judgement has stayed the operation of reservation in educational institutional institutions, on the ground that the statistics regarding the OBCs after 1931 census is not available with the Government. I am against reservation for this category, for the simple reason that the so called OBCs have been the ruling class, holding important political offices. When they are in a position to influence the course of the polity and decision making, how can we categorise them as backward classes. Introduction of reservation to these classes is only a measure of their influence and power in the society and not because of their backwardness. On the other hand, the SCs and STs, despite the benefit that had accrued on them, due to reservation, are still vulnerable and suffer ill-treatment in the society.

I am prepared to concede reservation to even the OBC and for other categories, on two conditions:-

Firstly, the exclusion of the creamy layer from the so called OBCs from the purview of reservation should be agreed to;

Secondly, there should be a time limit for the reservation regime to operate. It cannot be perpetual spoil system. We must graduate from the reservation regime to an egalitarian regime of meritocracy, after the expiry of the strict time frame.

I am not in favour of reservation in any systems, education or job.

Reservation is the political game that the politicians coolly play around for their benefits and enjoyment. They do not want to know the truth that they are killing self respect, the native talents and initiative of every human individual whether he or she is a backward SC or ST.

I would suggest: Create and give an acceptable envronment in such a way that the SCs and STs and the Backward people are able to develop their basic education and the required skills to prepare themselves suitably to compete with others. Towards this philosophy it is worth spending crores of money. In the long run it will bring about meaningful and balanced growth among all youth and it is good for the nation too.

Against- Reservation is not a mean to help SC or BC people. Its only a mean to deviate from their responsibilities. If minister really care about the people they must provide better and carrier oriented education. Its really pathetic to see the standard of the school and there are lot of school which dont have proper facility. In order to surface many big problem they are giving importance to small things like reservation.

I am very much in favour of the reservation; but, I am not in favour of the reservation system at all. Reservation should be income/class based. Isn't it rediculous that Dr/Er/IAS etc of ST/SC/OBC are benefitted by reservation whereas even a daily wage earner who are classed general are not. I am ST and engineer!

I am in favour of reservatin in educational systems.
Education should never be allowed to become the exclusive right of a few.
" Every huaman being who comes into this worlld, comes with the message that God is not disappointed with man"< said Gurudev Tagore. So it becomes imperative on the paart of the society to provide opportunities to all in the educational systems.
Sections of society, purposely kept deprived of the right to education.must be given the right now.
Handicapped by centuries-long prejudices
the under privilleged have been denied their due share.Reservations in terms of seeking
educational benefits,is only the application
of pain reliever ,to a bruised soul.

The Central and all State Governments provided reservations in employment/jobs and educational institutions to members of the Scheduled Castes/Tribes and OBCs; in addition to lot of other facilities: FREE houses, house sites, agricultural lands, seeds, fertilizers, occupational equipments, dresses & uniforms, books, hostels, monthly expenses, etc. They can avail of it so long as they are SCs STs & OBCs (Hindu).

The very important & much necessary condition of remaining SC, ST, OBC is to remain a Hindu in Hinduism. Hinduism is not a religion. It is a culture, custom, tradition, way of Hindus' lives in Hindustan (India). It is claimed as such by all the well known Hindu priests, scholars, intellectuals, books, scripts, the Ruling Party BJP & Shiv Sena, Bajrang Dal, the Indian & International strongest Hindu organisations RSS & VHP, etc.

The SCs, STs, OBCs are much degraded & lower viewed, humiliated & insulted in Hinduism which practises casteism based inequality. The moment they embrace a religion and convert to Islam or Christianity, they lose all Govt. facilities though their financial and social condition will remain the same. They have to pay such big price for coming out of Hinduism; hence mostly prefer to remain in Hinduism for such financial benefits.

The moment, the Govt. withdraws these facilities/subsidies and reservations, millions and millions of SCs, STs & OBCs will jump out of Hinduism and embrace a religion Christianity or Islam. Hence learned intellectual Hindus in power always continue such facilities to SCs, STs & OBCs to keep them in Hinduism suffering all sort of inequalities, inhumanities, insults, humiliations, etc.

Definitely against reservation. Person with merit and intelligence suffer because of reservations. Our country is going to dogs because of incompetent persons getting appointments and promotions; and the intelligent and deserving are getting frustrated.
