I am a little overweight and I havent had my period in over about 3 months or a little longer. I was told to lose weight by my doc but it is hard. can you become infertile if you dont get your period?

This sounds a lot like a hormone imbalance such as Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.

I would recommend getting a consultation with an endocrinologist. Start with your primary care physician if your insurance requires it and let this primary care dr know that you are having problems with losing weight. If they still won't listen to you then it may be time to consider finding someone else to be your primary care physician.

not really but do consult your doctor you might be having a hormonal imbalance. Hormones play a vital role on menstruation. You should have your period by some time unless you are pregnant or on menopausing stage.
