Toshiba hotspot wireless connection problem?

Hi, I have a problem with my Toshiba laptop that I used at home. Ever since I got it shipped overseas, I couldn't connect to the hotspot internet even when others could, is this hardware or settings problem? I tried playing around with all the settings but all I keep getting is detecting proxy settings or cannot be found pages when I go on yahoo. Could anyone help me please? thanks

You have not mentioned connecting to a hotpot, only that you cant connect to the internet.

Is your wireless connection showing a good connection to the hotspot wireless router? Or limited or No connectivity? Or not seeing the hotspot at all?
