Will there be a sequel to Eragon?

Question

The end leaves opening for a sequel and i heard someone ask about a third book.. wonder if they plan to finish the story.. The king is still there and as the woman tells Eragon, surely the king will avenge the defeat.

God I hope they don't finish making the movies... the first one sucked! But there has been two books written so far, both amazing! The first is Eragon, the second is Eldest and there is one more planned but I'm still waiting!

I would just like to add, if they don't make a sequel it would be a shame. I haven't read the books, but I found the movie very enjoyable, Nice scenery,ample and good effects, and acceptable acting, although not as strong in some areas. The film was lacking in all the gore and severe violence that we seem to have become numb to, and it's about time. The soundtrack was also very nice. I own both the movie and the soundtrack...and it appeals to a wide audience base, if people would give it a chance..and as a post script I'm 56 years old and I enjoyed it immensely, so not just for kids.Out of 5, I give it 4.95

There is a trilogy of books, called the Interitance Trilogy and Eragon is book one.

The second is called Eldest, and there is talk about it becoming a sequel movie... see here:

well a sequel to the movie? i dearly hope not, they left out too many improtant facts in the first one. the book, yes #2 is Eldest and #3 hasnt come out yet, it will be a trilogy

yes they are working on a sequel, did you know it was writtin by a boy, I think he was only thirteen or fourteen when he wrote it, it was hard to believe it when I was watching it.
