I think if the contestants are smart they listen, because the guest stars have proven they have the talent and longevity to make it in this business. They made it based on talent, not by having their careers fabricated by a farce of a TV talent competition.
And most of them are spot on in their advice to the contestants.

I don't think that Tony, or any of the guest stars for that matter, really have an influence on the singers.

They SHOULD listen! Tony Bennett has been in the biz for 50 years! But these young punks are conceited enough to think they know what's best.

Last night's show proved that many of the contestants did not take Tony Bennet's advice and their lackluster performances showed it. They need to know that they really DON'T know more than someone of Bennet's staying power and quality.

i think for most of them the guest stars have a huge impact...some however, don't listen at all which makes it really bad

It does not seem that it impacts them at all. They give good advice and most just ignore them. Its very frustrating.
