Most jobs, and I would venture to say most *good* jobs, are not things you find by sending out a resume. You use your network and contacts. Want ads seem mostly to be posted by companies with bad communication skills who can't find people to fill positions by networking.
So, ask everyone if there's a job that you might be interested in -- your doctor, your dentist, the grocer, the butcher, your in-laws, your cousins, everyone.
Then, take a look at the things you have done. Managing a household and organizing a home-schooling schedule takes a lot of work, and shows off some very important organizing skills!
There are also books that address this question. I'd look at the local library for books about getting jobs.
You have done a very important job -- the important thing is to put the right spin on Motherhood, and get some good connections to a good job. Good luck!

Remember to tailor your resume to the job you are applying for. Luckily, this is so easy in the computer age!

You can absolutely create a resume and there a hundreds of free online tools that can help you. If you google resume, I am positive you will find something to help you. I would start your resume with an objective.......what you want to achieve with this first job experience. Next, add school and any successes and clubs that you participated in. Also, add any volunteer work and references. I hope this helps but, trust me .....the internet has a wealth of information that will help you build the perfect resume.

Start with your education, and then something like "I have been a wife and mother to ___ children for ___ years, during which time I have been concentrating on being a partner to my husband and caregiver to the children. I have homeschooled the chirlfren through the ___ grade and they have recently scored ___ on the ___ test...." etc. The idea is to provide measurable achievements which you have made or which resulted from your assistance.
