No one in right senses would disagree that we are loosing natural resources in the name of technological advancement.
It is not that technological progress is not possible without hurting nature.
It is our greed for quick fix solutions that prevents careful use of resources and energies.
The selfish Man and not technology is the real culprit.

Knowledge is for action but actions are not based on knowledge. Environment itself is a technological advancement. Improper study, research and assessment of technology makes the loss of natural environ ments. One is the fertility for the other.

I prefer to say it this way,
we are loosing natural environment as a side effect of the human greed. and technology was used to achieve the target.
The greedyness is getting faster by the advancement of the technology

That is a side effect of capitalism. for example what will happen in 200 yrs or so if bio-tech firms patent all plants?

yes we are. evcerything is at the fast food restaurant to be eaten. People having vacation on ships.

pools instead of rivers and the ocea.
