Not unusual to feel dehydrated after infection. Keep up with fluids and stay away from irritants such as bubble baths...etc.

The fact that you are having to drink more water because of excess thirst I would recommend going back to the dr. Excess thirst is one classic symptom of Diabetes.

I don't know how long ago you were checked for Diabetes but if it's been a good while it is time to have it done again.

Also, UTIs can also be a symptom of something called Interstitial Cystitis which is an inflammatory problem with the lining of the bladder.

You need to go back to your Doctor. With UTI's there is usually a bit of guess-work with they type of anti-biotic they use. They might have not chosen the right one yet.

If you are sexually active then it is also possible that the action of sex is reinfecting you, the movement of the mans penis can massage bacteria up your urethra (your wee tube) where it can enter your bladder. That's why I always have a wee after sex.

Going to the toilet every 3 hours is not really extreme, and drinking lots of water is very good for your infection, but I sense you're very worried about this, and after 20 days I'd be fed up of it too, so go back to your Doctor, and see what they suggest is the next step.

DRINK 100% CRANBERRY JUICE. I was on vacation with a UTI and my period, in the Hot Florida sun for 2 weeks. I downed 6 bottles of 100% Cranberry juice and it was gone in probably a week and a half.

The medication is during that to you. Even after you stop taking it. The medication that you were give is trying to flush out your system of the virus and they makes you release 3x more water. That would mean that you have to compensate for it so you would drink a lot of water.

3 hrs is very normal. and you should drink 8-10 glass of water a day.
In UTI you should drink more because more urine can wash out bacterias and can protect against retrograde infection of kidney.
if you partner is infected with UTI then he can transmit it to you, so bette check your partner too...use protections while sex. condom is must..

Sounds like you might have diabetes. Your doctor can tell you for sure.
