what are the positive aspects of reading? why do we read and how does it affect us?

We read because writing is integral to conveying ideas in our society, from the simplicity of a "Do not enter" sign to the complexity of scientific theories. If one doesn't read they miss out on the majority of the information that is out there, losing touch with the rest of humanity.

For me, reading is a way for me to relax, unwind and escape. I read all the time, in fact, I usually read 2 or 3 books at a time. When I read I visualize the characters and the scenes in my head and it's almost like going to a movie for me. I find it the best way for me to relax and get away from real life for awhile.

being a lover of books this much i can tell u...reading takes u where ever u want to...its an ecape made to order...yes im sure uv heard all bout da knowledge dat u gain from reading, dat is undeniable...but to me it is much more than that..i have been to places miles from where i am,and sometimes it takes me to places dat only i know exists...it lets me be a queen and tiny butterfly at da same time...iv met fairies n great leaders of our world...i read because i love to...it's hard to explain but somehow it gives me a lot...a lot of what, i cant seem to answer myself...read and u'll know wat i am talking about...it will change ur definition on all dat uv known...

the advantages of reading would be that you need to use ur Imagenation to create a picture of the story in ur mind
so it makes u more creative and also more understanding of the English / others language ..........
