Mercedes did not make a CLK 230 - however there is a c 230 Kompressor & a SLK 230(which is the 2 dr Sport) The Jag XK 8 has a 4.0 L DOHC engine. Not a big fan of Jag -made by Ford. I would have to go w/ the Benz.

The Jaguar is a much better car in terms of performance and design. But the early XK8's suffer from premature death, due to weak timing chain tensioners and Nikasil cylinder liner problems. Replacing a Jaguar motor is not cheap.

Both are junk, so buyer beware. Most people on here are smart enough to tell you to stay away from the Jag. Since its a Benz car and not SUV you might get lucky and not have too many problems with it at first.
