Tampons for swimming and overnight maxi pads for sleeping. Also wearing some very form fitting, secure underwear helps your pad stay secure and prevents leakage.

You can go swimming during your period if you use tampons.
As for how to prevent stains when you sleep I use a beach towel on my bed, and also using hospital type pads might help with some of this as well.
Always makes a pad that is just for overnight that might be of help to you as well.

OK well I started my period for the first time at my 13th birthday party might i add that it was a pool party at the community center what a surprise yes use a tampon and make sure it is securely in place and second the whole night thing is a issue with me to I buy always extra long pads thin or regular and place them high in the back side and place a panty liner across the top where the pad is missing I no that tampons are uncomfortable at night good luck

I would wear a tampon while you are swimming and then were a pad when you are sleeping. Stress makes you bleed so much more. So just stay calm and relax and have a great life

yes, you can go swimming even if you have your period because automatically your period would stop once your in the water. you can prevent having stains on your bed sheet by using long napkins, the ones they call all night napkins because it is made specially to avoid stains while you sleep and you can assume the most comfortable position while sleeping.
