Mit Romney might run for president. He's a Mormon. My only concern about this is it reminds me of a scene from the movie Left Behind. There's a scene where a guy runs for president or something and he sets up the perfect government to make world peace. He tries ending world hunger and joining all the worlds religions into one faith. But the president is really the Anti-Christ Carpathia. Shortly after his he wins the ellection, the rapture occurs. The fact that Mormons think that their church is perfect (And by the way the Mormons behave so well you'd think it was) if one of them was president then he might set up the perfect government and turn out to be the anti-christ like the dude in the movie.

Sure!

I like your ingenious reason for not doing it, though. LOL!

Yes, I would vote for a Mormon, or a Catholic, or a Protestant, or any other religion. The only person I would not vote for along those lines, would be if he or she were an Atheist.

The reason I wouldn't vote for an Atheist, is this country was founded on Christian foundations and I believe most of the downfalls with our country and citizens and the way things are falling apart is the way the Supreme Court has allowed so many laws to pass that have taken away Religious Freedoms such as prayers in school, etc. Anyway, I am getting off the subject, here. Sorry.

I would vote for a Mormon President, yes, as long as the other items on his agendas and the things he stood for agreed with what I also stand for.

Here's what a Mormon president would bring to the White House:
Strong sense of family commitment -taking care of one's own family rather than having the government pay for every one to stay home and not work
Clean living - no drinking, smoking, or breaking the law of chastity
Compassion - taking care of the poor of the world, including our own country, teaching them to care for themselves
Good stuff, really. No world domination.

I would if the candidate's politics agreed with mine. The same issue came up when John Kennedy was a candidate for president, and people asked him if he would take orders from the pope. He declared he would not, and was elected the 35th President of the United States.

You know what would be even better? An Amish president.

nah...I don't want to judge him on that...he was an OK governor of Mass who was pretty middle of the road...wish he would stay there...I guess his advisors are steering him right

PLEASE.

I'd be more worried to get someone like Pat Robertson or Jerry Falwell in the White House.
