I think that a telepathy would definatly be the most probable 6th sense. I think that a more interesting concept would be a seventh sense. After years of deep thought into the idea of a seventh sense, I have come up with an idea and a name for it. "Snarklepuss" is my potential seventh sense. Snarklepuss would be the ability to see into the immediate future. Unlike instinct, snarklepussing would be extremly reliable, as accurate as seeing a stop sign and knowing its red. For example, you could be driving in your car and you suddenly snarklepuss an accident at the intersection ahead, so you can slow down to avoid it. As we all know, people have different degrees of visual and hearing abilities. Unfortunatly, the same would be true with snarklepuss. As we age, our ability to snarklepuss may decrease. Eventually, one may lose all of his or her snarklepussing abilities, rendering them "snarklepussless." However, medicines and surgeries may then exist to reverse the loss of snarklepuss.

Interesting question!

We would probably be able to sense the goings on in the universe, we would be able to communicate so much more intelligently than we can now. Our communication would be so sophisticated that we would be able to invent all these new technologies to measure what we see, hear, touch, smell and taste. Better yet, our senses would be so powerful that we would be able to detect something that is such great distances from us and we would be greatly prepared for whatever it is.

What we do with this new form of intelligent communication is anybody's guess. Whether we use this for good or bad is a tossup.

We would finally be able to sense all of the smound frequencies (that's a mish-mash of sight, smell, sound). It's difficult to imagine what another sense might be able to detect. It seems like the five we have pick up everything there is to experience. The only thing I could imagine would be a drastic improvement of those senses.

you would be able to feel what will happen, or certain things you don't know, that relate to you. it would be like this feeling you get when you think about something and suddenly it's there (almost like a memory perhaps?) and you gain an insight on the way something is, was, or will be.

We started losing it after the 1940's, slowly, and like Alzheimer's it progressed, especially in the late 1960's.

It used to be called common sense.

I'd tell you what it was, but I've forgotten--(a result of too much daytime TV).
