recently my husband found out that his life long dream of getting into vet school is not going to be a reality. What other jobs can you get with a BS in Animal Science and how can i make him feel better about the situation?

for those of you who asked, he is not able to get in because of his organic chemistry and physics grades. If you have never been through the process, it can be very confusing, but if you are not one of the top two vet school applicants for your STATE (unless there is a contract between a vet school and your undergrad school), you cannot get accepted. It is a very hard thing and a year long process to apply (which he has now tried for two years and doesn't want to spend another year doing). We live in KY which has no vert school, they have a contract with Auburn but sadly he he has not gotten in. Thanks for the answers!

I guess one needs to know why he's not able to get into vet school. Then I'd contact whoever, to determine if there's away around the obstacle. I've always felt anything is possible depending on one's desire and determination.

Well, have him be an assistant or have him get some property and you both open a boarding place, make some money and love on the animals care for them, have him go to farrier school and not only can he advertise as a farrier but also that he has a B.S in Animal Science..he'll get more business..there are also Dude Ranches he can work at, places like that

Why not contact a few local vet offices ... Talk with a vet. Surely they could offer some solid direction or advise. If not on the phone, just stop by one of their offices. Good luck and what a nice wife you are to support your husband in this way.

Zoology, environmentally habits, forestry's, Park survives!
But may I ask why he's not able to be a VET?

There a plenty of schools out there and most will take anyone who has a GPA, of 3.0 or above!
Vet a fantastic people who want to help animals!
I think we need mor of that kind of people in this world.
