Most likely made some mistakes, too.. But, I learned a lot.
As Ralph Nader said, "Your best teacher is your last mistake." Hopefully, one doesn't make it a habit.
Of course, when you're right, and look like a genius, take the credit only if you can acknowledge the previous thought.

yup had the T-shirt.... lent it to my friend she wore it to the drunk tank ....she flushed it down the toilet in jail...so we destroyed it and burnt all the pieces......never leave the evidence....always make them wonder
