What is your opinion on people who are straight edge?

I'm straight edge and I was just wondering what other people thought of people who are straight edge.

for those who don't know straight edge means no drinking, no drugs (including prescription medications and illegal drugs) , no smoking, and no permiscuous sex.

GOOD for you for being so SELF-Confident and STRONG enough to resist the 'worldly' pulls.

It has it's advantages and disadvantages. I am one of the straight edges. I chose it because I love the way of self reserve and keeping a low profile. Sure one of the disadvantages is that you get picked on and tested by the social butterflies which is really annoying but it comes with a price.

I enjoy it because you get to live life keeping both aspects of both worlds. You can have friends who are either conservative or radical. You can just be you without getting into serious trouble. You remain neutral where you can choose to go to the dark side or moral side. But there is a draw back... you don't get to fully enjoy life because you are always thinking about your actions and consequences. Which I would rather do so that I don't end up hurting anyone.

that would count a lot on what the guy lady became searching for in a guy, does no longer it? no longer doing drugs is a diverse plus, the alcohol does no longer count to me, see you later because it became no longer in extra, and surely, abstaining from sex until eventually marriage is one in each and every of the risk-free difficulty to attempt this cutting-edge day. notwithstanding, if one wanted to celebration for all time and gang bang, then the above suggested immediately aspect can be a bore.

That's fine. I am sure that I'd like you if I was to meet you face to face.

The only thing I do that's different from your list is, I will - and do - take prescription drugs that help me control my diabetes, cholesterol, etc. And, I will take a pain reliever if I get a headache.

I believe if you are straight because of your personal beliefs you are a very strong person, but if you are straight edge only because its cool to be, you are just wasting your time with another front.

But I have fun. I don't believe the whole drinking, drugs, and sex is part of life to have fun.

It is different for everyone.

But I'm proud ot be old-fashion.

It's a personal choice, nothing more. I fully support you, and have many friends who've chosen the same path you have. We all love each other and don't condemn each other for expressing ourselves and living our lives the way we wish.

Its fine , that is your choice. I have done drugs , it was kinda fun but I can feel the after effects now and my family thinks badly of me. Sex was fun but it leads to bad things stds , babies unplanned for. I have been there done all that . I no longer drink , smoke, do drugs or fcuk around. Tired of being disrespected.

I think you have the right to make that choice to be straight edge, but you should not try to impose it on other people.

e.g. you shouldn't fight against marijuana legalization because you do not choose to do it

There are also some violent straight edgers who give the rest a bad rep.

i don't do drug's or smoke, or have promiscuous sex but i do like drinking on occasion. i don't consider myself straight edge though.
