The statement that "Cops love Donuts" is completely a stereotype. The reason that this developed was years ago, we didn't have 24/7 Convenient Stores such as Quick-Trip and 7-Elleven. With Police Officers working odd shifts, they were drawn to the Donut shops that were in centralized areas and open late, to mingle with other Officers.

I think the day of cops at the donut shop are over. Twenty years ago, when that became a joke, there weren't very many places open all night. Donut shops were one of the exceptions. Now days there are a lot of all night places for cops to hang out :-)

I think more people, nol matter the profession, eat doughnuts than you realize. Dunkin Donuts would survive.
