I don't think about the orphans at night before I go to sleep, unless I have just read a book about them, or a newspaper article, or seen something on television. But when I do, it is quite upsetting.

I, myself, have adopted 2 grandsons (aged 12 and 9, now) and I have legal guardianship of my 7 year old grandson. These boys would be in Foster Homes if I hadn't been able to take them as there are no other relatives other than their mother and she isn't capable of caring for them.

I have had the 12 year old since he was 4. Then I obtained the other 2 brothers together when the 9 year old was 4 and the 7 year old was 2.

My heart goes out to all the children in the world who still need someone to hug and love and protect them.

You sound like a nice person. When I was in Korea while in the service, I would sometimes see little kids who were half American. Amerasians is what I think they were called. I've wondered what would happen to them.

Not at night but I do think of all the horrible ways they got there. And why didn't someone try to prevent it?

Yes. I also think of those children who are being abused. I just pray for them.
