The Forbidden Fruit was growing on a tree! We do know that there is a lot of symbolism involved... but why would God tell them to be married, be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth. and then tell them not to eat the fruit of the tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil..? Just read it again, study it and then pray about it ok! That is how you will know the truth!

The fruit was from the "Tree of knowledge of good and evil". The serpent, when tempting Eve to eat the fruit, said that if they would eat it, they would become "like God" in terms of all the things they would know. Not that they would suddenly get to have sex! It seems extremely reductionist to interpret the story to mean that all sexual behavior is sinful and results from eating the fruit. The loss of innocence that is shown is the shift from dependence on God as the benevelolent caretaker to self-determination and the attempt for humans to make themselves equal to their creator.

According to biblical mythology the fruit was from the tree of knowledge, therefore the forbidden fruit is knowledge beyond what is written in that book.

If I was doing a scriptiural analysis, I would be able to see whether or not that could be applied to the applicable parts of scripture. I really do not think that the act of procreation was supposed to be sinful.

If you read the Bible, it wasn't even called a sin, unless it expressed specifically, like with beastiality.
