To add just a bit, the Dems' now control the House and Senate. The Dems' are also stepping up hard. So, if their plans pass, and things continue to fail. Will that be a set back for the Dem' nominee? Reps' can easily say that things went bad because of the House and Senate controlled by the Dems'. But, if the Dems' sit back as oppose to act out against the war, could that cost them too in the contexts of "We elected them to change things and they didn't"? 2008 will be great. With the right political swing, either one of the things I said could happen. What do you think?

nothing, the republicans have fu$@$% themselves with the BS war in iraq, but the new candidates will have to make a new and progressive america that doesn't think god is talking in their ears, people will want a legitamate and "buck stops here" government similar to that which followed the Dems after Carter, but we will have to guarantee that people see that these Republicans who are in now are Jesus freaks who have no place in our government or in our lives

To win in 2008, the Democrats have to govern as Democrats. It is as simple in that.

In the race for the presidency, we have Democrats acting as Republicans (Hillary refusing to apology for the way she voted on the Iraq War), and Republicans acting as Democrats (the social positions of many of the candidates in the GOP).

If the Democrats continue to push and find a candidate they can rally around, that would definitely be a step in the right direction. They also need to avoid the in-fighting that has recently characterized their top contenders.

As far as responsibility goes, it really depends on the state of the world in the fall of 2008. If Iraq is significantly worse and the White continues vetoing Congressional reform and/or oversight, then that will aid the Democrats. But if Bush's surge is successful, then who knows what will happen.

truthfully, after Bush "triumphing" the previous 2 elections - i think of the yankee democratic technique is interior the crapper and who's conscious what is going to take place. I under no circumstances would have theory Bush would are turning out to be to be away with a million/2 the failings he has. in case you had advised me votes does no longer depend 2 elections in a row, i'd have stated "which will possibly under no circumstances take place in u . s . of america". yet now I have not any thought. Has Diebold fastened their machines? What approximately striking chads? What approximately black electorate being intimidated on the polls?

Lock Hillary and Obama in a closet somewhere so that they will STFU and stop clouding the issues. And possibly send Edwards to join them if he doesn't back away peacefully. Then promote Bill Richardson as the Democratic candidate. Richardson is the only candidate with real governing experience (and cabinet and foreign policy experience), and he's the only one who has actually addressed any of the issues.

By the way, Richardson IS a moderate candidate who is in favor of addressing illegal immigration.

Objectively, get a republican majority in congress. 2000 was the first time one party had control of the presidency, house, and senate simultaneously. Democrats claim that this had disaterous results. So, it would stand to reason that the same democrats don't want to give control over all three arms of the federal government to the same party again.

Mostly, they just have to shut up. the more they say, the more the scare people. Each one of their candidates is likely to send moderates in the other direction. If they would just chill a little, they have a chance. But the idiots are seeming to get way too far to the left.
Let's get back to center.

CLOSE THE BORDERS!!!

Is there 1 Democrat running for President that will address Illegal Immigration? All of the "top" Dems voted for the Kennedy-McCain Amnesty bill last year. They are all frauds.

Not that the Repubs are any better. Bush is the worst president in History IMO - and I voted for the clown.

TOM TANCREDO will get my vote! I have met him before and he is the real deal. Check out his stance on issues and let me know what you think.

First they need to resend the budget they just submitted. It does not make Bush's tax cuts permanent and therfore they will expire resulting in the largest tax increase in history.
Second they need to be willing to take the fight to the enemy instead of siding with them. Tucking out tail and pulling out is no way to defend this country.

They need to shut up & put a gag in Harry Reid & Pelosi's mouths. I was considering voting Democrat for the 1st time in 33 yrs but the last 2 days has changed my mind. What total nuts with no respect for the military.

Hilary's saying she had to study cutting off funding to military is such a crock. They have been debating it for over 18 months thanks to Murtha. the only thing Hillary is studying is how people react & what will get her votes. Where is her spine?

Democrats should learn that like in fashion - less is more. Shhh!

My OPINION is that they make sure Hilary doesn't run...that woman has a problem. She won't break up with her husband only because he has power and she wants it, Even if he has been cheating on her. She is too power hungery and may get out of control if elected. I think if Obama ran, he might make it because a lot of people would like to see a black president finally serve as president. I'm republican though, and I think the mormon guy will win!!! (his name escapes me)
