Something about it sounds feminine to me. What about Gentry instead? It's close and is a more common word, although still not a common name.
Also consider that this little boy will eventually be a teenager and an adult, so you don't want something silly (I don't think that Chantry is silly, I was meaning things like "Bluebell").

Operative term in your question: "For a little boy"
Do you anticipate him being a "little boy" forever? Or do you want him to be ashamed and embarassed of his name when he is 25 years old and trying to introduce himself to another man.
Enough with these girly, sissy boys names! Please.. This generation doesn't deserve this.

I'm not liking it because I'm not sure if I'm even pronouncing it correctly which will be hard for teachers. also it kind of sounds femmy. but ultimately it is your baby so its up to you congrats on your new arrival if he's yours

Not so much. When I look at the spelling, I feel like it should be a girl. BTW--how do you pronounce it?
