Why is that chocolate Easter eggs always taste nicer than chocolate bars?

They are usually a richer and more expensive milk chocolate...depending on the brand.

I agree the cadbury egg is delicious.
Maybe it's because the candybar's sit on the shelf in the stock room until there expiration and that's the quality we get.
The easter candy is fresher from the maker and is replenished daily not monthly.

It's made of the same chocolate. It really shouldn't taste all that different.
Maybe it's all psychology. It could be that your brain perceives chocolate in the shape of an egg, wrapped in bright colors, as more appealing than a plain old chocolate bar.

I haven't really noted that, and then again if I would just take a second to taste them rather then inhale them! Dam but they taste sooooo good.

They're probably not as old. Candy bars are made all year long for all occasions - who knows how long they sit on the shelf. Easter chocolate is probably fresher. That's why I figure Easter's Snicker's caramel is so much gooier. =)

That could be, that they use real chocolate in the eggs and artificial chocolate in the bars.

Because they're only here once a year. I like the Reese's PB Eggs better than the PB cups for this reason alone.

there are 4 types of chocolate,, and easter are made from the very best chocolateeeee .. eat it all day, now that they say it is good for you..

I prefer chocolate bars than Easter chocolaters, with nuts, caramel etc.... yum
