it's different for everyone if your used to people talking to you a lot you will probably need sound like me i have the TV on and it puts me right to sleep but if your a loner and no one talks to you it could go both ways, because if you do a lot of thinking you will be just sitting in your bed doing nothing. hope this helps

No, it has to be very quiet. I can tolerate the sound of a fan, but only if it's not making rattling noises.

I like it to be totally quiet, the only time i fall a sleep. With the telly on, is if i have fallen a sleep while watching it.

no i need silence to fall asleep I get irritated by the ticking of the clock so you can imagine!

I have tinnitus and I have to have "white noise" to sleep. usually a fan will do. If not, the silence is deafening!!!

if there must be sound, it has to be something familiar - if it's at all out of the ordinary I'll stay awake. if it's the radio or tv, I'll stay awake listening...

yes, i always have my radio and a fan on, i can always tell when we have a power out at night cause they shut off and the silence wakes me .
