My first instinct is carbon, does anyone agree?

Including water it would be oxygen because I read somewhere that 80% of the human body mass is water and even though each water molecule contains 2 hydrogen atoms and 1 oxygen atom, an oxygen atom is much heavier than a hydrogen atom.

Excluding water the answer is carbon. Carbon is the base for almost all of the bodies cellular material.

Carbon

A. because it is the majority of the mass of water but not sure if that qualifies as dry weight. If you exclude all water, it is probably carbon.

Yeah, I agree. Carbon is such a versatile atom because of it's ability to form so many different bonds and it seems logical that many molecules will take advantage of this.

carbon or nitrogen.. but I think the only reason why nitrogen popped into my head was because I was thinking of the air we breathe... 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen blah blah blah

I'd go with carbon... "Carbon life forms"

I'm too tired to read units correctly, but you can see for yourself.

Have a look at this eye-opening chart.
