If you do or don't please explain why. We're seriously considering it for our little girl. What comes to mind when you hear it? Thanks!

I don't like it. I went to school with a girl named Desiree' and she was a really terrible person. She always comes to my mind when I hear the name.

I like the name Desiree because the nickname Desi is really cute. What comes to mind when I hear that name?.... a girl who is pretty and has a bubbly personality.

I think it's pretty, and it's different enough to be distinctive, but not too unique to be considered odd. I went to high school with a very pretty girl named Desiree, and I associate it with a calm, serene, girl with dark curls.

Yes I very much like the name Desiree.. it's just simply a beautiful name, I love the names Hayven and Destiny as well. I think it's an excellent choice when choosing that for your daughter!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Yes. That is my sister's name (Desiree Delora) and she loves it! She has so many variations of nicknames and so many people think its beautiful. Infact, her name originally was Gianna (Jean in Italian), but my mom loved the name Desiree so much she changed it when my sister was a month old. The French pronouncation of it is DIS-A-RA, how pretty!:) It means desire in French and your baby will feel very loved because she knows you wanted her so badly you named her "Desire". Why not Desiree Mia (My Desire).

BTW, my sister is not a stripper or ghetto in anyway. She is a very beautiful Italian American girl who is creative and very respectful to her family.

:) Congrads!

I think that it is a beautiful name. I like it because my favorite aunt's name is Desiree

I dont like it for the stupid reason that i went to school with a girl named Desiree and she was totally rude. Also, consider that people might shorten it and call her Desi. Its a decent name, so if you like it go for it. Im not aware of any bad connotations with it.

I don't care for Desiree. It just isn't my style at all. It is the same type of name as Trinity, Nevaeh, & Angel. They seem very out of date to me.

We can't all like the same names though. Take Care. SD

Its a very pretty name that used to be VERY popular. I think if you name her Desiree it will be a good choice because its more unique now instead of being trendy.

Congrats and Good Luck!

I'm not that crazy about how Desiree sounds, but I really like the nickname Dezy, it's cute.
