Pet's Mart. If you look at the logo, the ball and line look like they are an apostrophe.

It's Pet Smart, however it is kind of both. As they say on thier own website in their history
"We're not just a warehouse anymore; we're a MART for PETs that's SMART about PETs. So it's only fitting that we change the name and logo of our stores from PetFood Warehouse to PETsMART"

I remember hearing a commercial saying, "That's smart... Petsmart." So from that (and also the web site has PetSmart), I would say that the pronunciation is more like "pet smart."
But really it doesn't make much of a difference, does it? As long as you aspirate the "s," who can tell which way you mean it?

everybody I know pronounces it Pet Smart, but its a play on words b/c it is a Pet's mart too
It depends how u say it and how u think of it, but most people just say it as one word.
they are trying to say it is smart to shop there and it is a place to shop for your pets

I think that you have to pronounce it as one word, thats the idea of it. It's for your pets and it is smart, but thats just my opinion.
