I have fallen out of bed once, and there was a thud and a lot of screaming. I was screaming because I had landed on a pair of binoculars that were on the hardwood floor.
I was told to go back to sleep & to stop screaming. The next day when I was trying to get dressed for school I couldn't move my arm without intense pain.
I was accused of trying to get out of school, and to prove to me that I was faking, my Mom took me to the ER for an x-ray.
Wouldn't you know that my left arm was broken just below the shoulder.
Guilty parents anyone?

Probably quite a thud since my bed is pretty high.

I have fallen. There's a carpet below, but I hurt my arms anyway trying to catch myself. So... a crashing thud from me.
