I think the secret to life is your own commitment to your life. If you pay attention to your life, and all the small details. Don't get distracted by fads and trends, and if faith helps you, good. Have faith in a way of life, a belief, the country you are from, and your ancestors. Have faith in your partner, or in education. The secret is what makes life interesting to you, keeps you on track, and makes your life a success.

Some will say DNA. I say God holds the secret. This life will end in death, so is it really life? This life will pass but we have the chance for eternal life through Jesus Christ. This is the only real secret, who would believe.

Define "life". Does life to you mean the time you spend breathing, what you do with the time you spend breathing, or the time you spend enjoying yourself. The secret can only be found after you have established your definition.

First, are you referring to "life" as in our existence (our hopefully 80-some odd years on this planet), or "life" as in beyond mere existence (understanding our purpose, fulfilling that purpose, and being able to die knowing that we truly lived, yada yada yada)
If you're referring to the latter, as everyone has already stated it's a loaded question. We spend our existence pursuing that knowledge and level of living, not to mention the multi-million dollar industry of self help books written by highly educated people that are there to help us answer that same question.
We each have to find that answer for ourselves. I believe that true life is found simply by choosing to live each and every day, and although most of those highly educated authors of self help books would tell me that's bull (I've had a run in with a book recently, can you tell?) it has been the key for finding my purpose in each day and never regretting a moment.
As noted in my life's motto, "When you find a place that exists beyond your wildest imagination and exceeds your greatest expectations, that's when you know you're alive."
That question is a loaded gun, one that we all fire and misfire quite frequently. So ask yourself this... what are you really trying to get at? Because that is rarely the true question of the day for most people. It is just the question that underlies every question we ask ourselves at any given point in our life.
