I have a 1994 probe and I am having a problem with the clutch.

When you press the clutch it stays down and you have to manually put it back up.

I put a new clutch slave cylinder and a new clutch cylinder and both cylinder hook to the master cylinder, brakes are working fine though

so what is wrong?

sounds like the pressure plate is week or broken. that is where you get the spring to return the pedal.

the clutch slave and master cylenders have nothing to do with the brakes

most likely have worn clutch parts, the fork that the slave cylinder pushes my be wore out where it hooks to the through out bearing, also the bearing retainer that the bearing slides on my be shot.last the fingers or springs in the clutch may be bad, the only way to know is to take it apart to inspect.

You may need to bleed the system more, even if you have already. You could have air trapped in the system that is preventing the system from properly pressurizing or charging, in order to function as intended. I know I had a Ford that took me almost 2 hrs to bleed all of the air out of.

That would be my best guess without actually physically inspecting the problem myself.

Slide up under the dash with a good light, find the return spring and hook it back up or replace it if it's broken.
