I was thinking of this yesterday. My grandfather, (who has been dead for 20 years now) would NEVER talk about who he voted for. I think it has to do with living through the Mcarthy era. No one really thought communism or socialism was so bad before ww2, so a lot of people registered as socialists and communists and then it was used against them later. I think people are afraid it will be used against them...

Because 51% of registered voters voted for Bush, and I think a majority of them don't want to admit that hey voted for Bush because of his poor handling of the war in Iraq.
I voted for Kerry despite being a republican. I like Bush, but I think he screwed the pooch when he invaded Iraq.
Most people don't vote, and that includes registered voters, and we say its a democracy go figure.

I'm not. I voted for Bush in 2000 and voted Libertarian in 2004, mainly because I was pissed at Bush for ramming through Congress one of the worst entitlements ever - prescription drug coverage for Medicare. Bad enough we have Greedy Geezers hanging around sucking every dollar off of the government teat they can, now we're going to pay for their prescriptions so that they can live longer and further bleed the Treasury dry.

What people are you referring to? And don't accuse me of being a Bush supporter either. I never voted for a Bush in my life.

Because its a secret vote. Your vote remains secret. See, no one's allowed to know UNLESS YOU TELL THEM.
And most people think its none of YOUR business to know who they voted for.
But if you must know, I voted for Ross Perot every time since he first ran. Even when he wasn't on the ballot.
