Let say you're seriously involved with someone for a long time now (Let's assume more than 2 years) But NOT once he has taken the effort to make the first move to reach out to you to express his love for you, make you feel desired & tell you that he is serious about you as guys usually do when they're in love & serious (we all agree -first move is still mostly a guys domain) so how much more time would you still wait ?? Would you just assume that maybe he is serious and just hold on Or would you conclude that he is not serious and move on ??

When I met my husband to be, I found a small book and gave it to him. On the
inside, I wrote, " I really love you, you know." He broke down and wept. We have
been very happily married for many years.

Definitely talk to him. It's hard to tell whether or not he truly loves you just by his actions; his actions may be separate from his feelings. Perhaps he is just shy or a bit uncomfortable with expressing his love for you outwardly (I think that in general, men usually dislike showing excessive emotion, as it makes them feel weak), but it sounds like no matter how much you two love each other right now, you can always renew and stabilize your love by having a serious talk on how to get the most out of your relationship.
The best of luck to you! I hope you guys have a happy, long, and loving relationship together, no matter what happens!
*sigh*....I love romance.... :)

I would assume that he was a very good friend, then I would set about trying to find a romantic interest.

Guys who can't become 'involved' after two years, usually aren't very involved in life or in relationships or in anything else.

(Cold fish, if you know what I mean....)

I would think he is either gay or something is wrong down there that he is ashamed to let me see it. Most guys I meet can't keep their hands off me. 2 years is too long to not make a move.

If he hasn't said anything after two years he's probably not serious about us! But, it wouldn't bother me because if I haven't said anything after that long then, I'm not serious about us neither!

Probably move on. I can't wait around forever if I don't know how you really feel!

I'm thinking it's time to move on after a heart-to-heart talk

If it had been that long I would probably talk to him and see how he really feels.

If it has been that long then I think I would feel comfortable enough to ask him.
