I USED to love american idol. now, it just annoys me. people with TRUE talent, like paris bennet and chris daughtry from last season, are being voted off in favor of "cuter" people, like katherine mcphee and taylor hicks. katherine can't even sing. i seriously did not even REMEMBER her until the season finale.
the same thing's happening this season with sanjeya. all those stupid little 12-year-old girls are voting for him because he's cute. i say, let's shoot the 12 year olds and cast some REAL votes.
i bet you anything sanjeya will win it all, while REAL talent, such as melinda and lakisha, will get voted off simply because little girls don't think they're "cute."
and votefortheworst isn't helping either.
bottom line, choose your vote wisely! you're giving someone in america the chance of a lifetime! make sure you give it to the right person.

I HATE THAT EFFING SANJAYA! one girl even starved herself for 12 (or was it 16?) days so Sanjaya would be booted off. She went on hunger strike until her doctor told her it was affecting her health so she quit. DON'T VOTE FOR CRAP!

I still like it. And I have to watch this year so I can prepare when I try out for the next season.
Melinda will win. Talent will when over Sanjaya's boy-crazy fans.

I still watch episodes every now and then (australian idol anyway) but it really is a stupid concept aimed at young girls. Whoever deserves to win is never going to... so I gave up getting into it after the first series.

made, and put out Cd's. I own several Cd's
made by people who didn't win. I own one
CD made by a winner, Kelly's Cd .
It's not about just winning, but the exposure
of having your voice heard.

Our family decided not to watch any reality TV this year & that includes American Idol.
