In the short term yes, a small lady can take down a large muscular man. But she will want to take that opportunity to get out of there and call the cops unless she has an equally large boyfriend on his way over there. A nice weapon would be the only other equalizer I can think of though. I long sustained fight usually ends with the larger or stronger person with the victory. That is why sports that involve fighting have size and weight classes.

Yes. But only if she is REALLY good at martial arts. A small female who tries to fight a tall muscular man after taking one or two self defense classes is likely to get hurt.

It depends, in real life the mega muscular guy might be a martial arts expert too

Don't ever believe anything that seems too good to be true. You can make up for some size disadvantage, but not miracles! It's like those kids with black belts; someone explained once in an interview that they're black belts only as far as other kids their age and size...they can't defeat grown men in combat.

I worked in a mental institute for a year and half and we all had to be trained to take down patients when necessary. I am very small (5' tall) and I can say that I did take down large powerful men by myself. I never killed one because...well...the State really frowns upon that....we actually learned how to do a take down with the intent of causing the least amount of pain and injury to the patient. I could take them down but I couldn't keep them down for long without help...fortunatly I always got help pretty quickly.
you just have to learn the proper techniques.

yes its true. taking somebody down isn't actually about strength or size. Overall its purely scientific. Then add in she is skilled at martial arts and she has all the info she needs to succeed.

Believe it. In Japan, the self-defense art of Aikido was taught to the geisha to give her a way to escape the sumo or samurai bent on killing or injury

Yes, a small female can take down a much larger opponent.

sure she can. I'm in martial arts and though I'm 6'1 male I know a small female can do that very easily.

power without purpose is useless. Disces Mori, learn to die, you must almost lose your life before you can kill, some just don't have the heart or will.
