I am interested in started a little side business. I want to get into event planning. I like doing those types of things and i like to make people happy in the end. I want to do weddings, birthdays, ect. You name it I want to say sit back and relax and I will do the rest. Can anybody give me any ideas on how to get started, is it hard to do, how much does it cost to get started, are there classes that I can take to give me more knowledge and what not. Research, research, research – this cannot be stressed enough. Read as much as you can about the industry. Here are some book titles that are relevant:

Go to your library's small business section. They will have books explaining the whole process, including getting relevant permits from the city, etc.
