I wouldn't ever name a kid this or even use it as a middle name, but I see it used often, so how is it being pronounced?

Nev vie uh? Nev Vay uh?

I don't like any of those sounds, or how its spelled, or how it looks. Even if it is Heaven spelled backwards!

I despise this name just so you know right off the bat.

However, I believe it is being pronounced Nuh vay uh, although the first syllable might sound more like a short e than a short u sound.

"Nevaeh" is heaven SPELLED backwards. (And it wouldn't be an obnnoxious name if fans would stop saying that every single time they utter "Nevaeh"!) I pronounce it (neh VAY uh) which is the common way. It's actually very pretty. Phonetically it should be (neh VAH eh). ....Clearly not usable. It's a fine name (just not my taste) if people would stop the "heaven spelled backwards" that nearly always follows it! The name Heaven is so annoying that it doesn't matter HOW it sounds. It seems so sanctimonious and silly. Whenever I see "Heaven", I think, "That's Nevaeh spelled backwards!". Haaha!
