I have been living abroad for 12 years now.
It helps to broaden your mind to the world. I find it very strange (I'm not saying BAD, just strange) that many other Americans I know have that same thought when living abroad. They feel that they cannot be patriotic when they are abroad.
However, you can still be active in your rights, including voting, when you are abroad.
If it's something you want to do, GO FOR IT! It really will enrich your life. But make absolutely sure that you have everything set up before you leave. Things can be VERY difficult to do once you are there.
Examples...
Backup ID. (Just in case.)
Checking on what kind of Visa (A document that lets you live in a certain country.) you will be getting, and where you can renew it. Where you will be doing your banking. (If you chose wrong, you could pay HUGE fees. In Taiwan, it's about a 25% fee to cash a foreign check.)
Also check out what kinds of things will be hard to buy in that country. (In Taiwan it's IMPOSSIBLE to get Tylenol.)

I'm going to move to Denmark, actually. I'm an American but my fiance is Danish. So i'm gonna go to school over there and then get married and live there in Europe. I'll be able to travel anywhere I want cause travel to different countries in europe is really cheap when you're already living there. I can't wait to go!!

If I have been given no selection and that i grow to be compelled out of Australia, then i would be heading Canada. 2nd appropriate united states interior the worldwide. Vancouver Owns Toronto. in simple terms like how Melbourne Owns Sydney.

No, I believe that should be kept in the confinds of the bond of marriage...further...oh wait..sorry, I thought you said "with abroad".
Seriously, I have been to Denmark and enjoyed it,and would consider that as an option, but I think i'll stick to my roots here in the US.
Japan would be very interesting as well...as you may have noticed my avatar name is Bonsai......have been into the art of bonsai for many years.
