My neighbor is a single female living alone. She is always asking my husband to do house work for her. (MANLY things)! She hardly ever comes over to talk to him when I'm home, only when I am at work!! My husband ALWAYS tells me when she has been there!! Could she just be pretending to be my friend to get closer to him?? (She was fired from her last job for having an affair with her boss - who is married!!)

Tell hubby not to answer the door if she comes over...Sounds like she wants your man...

IMO... yes. She IS interested, to say the least. One very good point in your favor, is that your husband is not secretive and tells you what is going on.
This is where trust comes into play. It doesn't matter whether it's the neighbor or the little hottie working at 7-11, if he's going to screw around, there's nothing you can do to stop it. You have to trust that he'll make the right decision.

Also remember... keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.

It's a possibility that she is just lonely and that she means no harm but it kind of sounds like a crush. As long as your husband keeps telling you about what happened I wouldnt worry about it. You should trust your husband not to cheat. If she seems to start hitting on him heavily tell him you arent comfortable with her around and that you rather him not go do "manly work" for her anymore. I'm sure he'll understand.

It's a very good sign that your husband always lets you know whenever she's been over and everything. It doesn't sound like there's anything more going on.. at least from his standpoint. That's a very good thing. No matter what her intentions may or may not be with your husband.. she cannot force him into a relationship with her. He is your husband, and from the sound of it.. it doesn't sound like he is even remotely interested in her. Surely she'll catch on soon enough, and move on to someone else.

I must say, it sounds like you have a very loving and devoted husband. :)

Is your neighbor on Desperate Housewives? J/K...I think that you should trust your husband if he always tells you and maybe he should tell her that he is not comfortable with her coming around asking him to do things all the time or maybe he needs to bring you along whenever he does stuff for her. If you tag along, if she does have a thing for him, she might realize that she is not going to get anywhere with him. I think that she needs to find another man to do her MANLY things. I think it is okay to ask for help every once in a while, but not all the time. Good luck!!

Uhhhhhhhhhh, yup. If she is only coming around when you're not there, you can be sure she's after him, or at least has a crush. The nice thing is that your hubby seems to be on to her. Most of them don't see it coming until it's too late, and they have to look at you with that stupid look on their face and say............"it just happened".
Let her know point blank that you and your husband are very happily married. Tell him to tell her that he won't be able to do any "manly things" for her unless you're there.
GRRRRRRRR

There are plenty of unmarried guys out there, why do some women have to be such c#&#'s

The same thing happened to me. This older woman wanted my handsome husband to paint her bathroom. He was not a painter, but a carpenter. She was single with a wild teenage daughter. She would never acknowledge me, but also would call my Husband , while I was at work. My Hubby would laugh and tell me he would'nt touch her with a ten foot pole. Even years later, I would see this woman at the flower shop, she would not speak. If I had it to do over again, I would go directly to this woman and let her know that my husband is only mine and ask your Hubby to go with you. Go visit her together and let her know that you are a couple and do not want her to intrude. Hopefully, your Husband will remain Loyal and True to you.

Tell your husband to say no to one of her requests. And keep on saying no slowly and then finally just like...no to all her requests. You should make him say something if she asks him to come do something at the moment "Sorry, I'm going to take my wife out to dinner, or I'm going to spend time with my wife tonight". So she'll know that your husband is devoted to you. Not saying that he's not, but that neighbor obviously doesn't see that.

YES!!! And I think your husband is begging you (by telling you) to put a stop to this. Just kindly tell this woman you know of a handyman (not your husband) and give her their business card. If your husband does anymore work for her... be his shadow! Also go out of your way to spice up your marriage so your husband is too busy with you to help her.

I would be very suspicious of her....she is up to something....if they were on the up and up then she would not be asking him for help during the time u were gone, and ur husband would try to wait until u came home from work so that u would not be suspecting anything.
