If so, what are the symptoms & treatments did you/they have? How long did it take for it to be completely cured?

Thanks

I have had Sinusitis most of my adult life.

The symptoms vary, but may include any, or a mix of what I list below.

1) Pain (either sharp or dull) in the face, both above and below the eyes

2) Occasional bleeding (not very much) from the nose.

3) Sinuses feel like they're on fire, causing dull to sharp pain when breathing. (This causes me to breathe from my mouth attempting to relieve the pain somewhat)

4) Continual draining (keep those Kleenex handy !)

5) Dizziness when breathing

6) Blurred vision

These symptoms are severe when the changes, such as Autumn to Winter, then again Winter to Spring time.

A Doctor previously gave me a prescription only Nasal medication to cope with the draining and pain.

Unfortunately, the Doctor also informed me that my Sinusitis was so severe, that I will have it the rest of my life. I had Sinusitis so severe, it left scarring in my Nasal Passages.

The Doctor also informed me my case was the most severe of anybody he has seen and treated for Sinusitis.

I'm not trying to scare you, but I'm what you would consider a "worst case scenario."

If you believe you have Sinusitis, follow your Doctor's advice and treatment exactly !!

I have had sinusitis in the past. It sucks. There are a lot of treatments including antibiotics, cold and sinus meds, and nasal sprays. Another treatment I had was going to a chiropractor. Turns out that the bones in the spine can cause sinus infections( the nerves in the neck). Once those bones were back in alignment, my infections were not as bad as they used to be. The symptoms can include headaches, sensitivity to light, and pain in the face (cheek area and forehead). I dont think that you can ever be completely cured. This is just from personal experience. I am in no way a doctor or medical professional. Hopes this helps

I understand completely! I had a sinus infection a few years ago and I was stuffy and I kept getting light headed. I'd get dizzy at the drop of a hat. It was awful. I was on meds for about 10 days...I started feeling better after perhaps 3 or 4 days. If the doc puts you on a 10 day med, be sure and take it the full 10 days or it could come back on you much worse.

I do and know lots of other people with sinusitis. Painful swollen sinus cavities, headaches, difficulty breathing are all signs and you can get dizzy if it gets in the inner ear.

Yes. I was stuffed up and had pain in my cheeks and felt like my eyeballs were being squeezed. I took decongestants and antibiotics and it cleared within two weeks. Sometimes I get mild ones after a cold and I up my intake of zinc, vitamin C, garlic, yogurt and beta-carotene rich foods to strengthen my immune system. I like to try to have my body fight it off because the antibiotics always give me such bad diarrhea.

I get it quite alot, b/c according to the doctor, I have allergies.
Symptoms-similar to the Flu.
Treatment-Antibiotic prescribed by the doctor. Decongestants also.
You start to feel somewhat better a few days after taking the antibiotics, depending how bad it is. (make sure you finish the whole dose). It does not go away 'on it's own'. Believe me, I tried...
:-)

I have many times - the Dr gave me Bioxin - it lasted about a week, the antibiotics helped ease the pain and post nasal drip

One of my employees claims to have this, but I think she's faking as her illness always seems to strike on Mondays.
