Why do colleges and universities ONLY want to teach liberal thought and not both sides of an arguement?

: are they threatened by thought other than their own? are they so insecure in their theories that they do not want another approach considered

conservative thought just doesn't work when you think about it too much, LOL.

I think they are scared and there is not as much "freedom of speech" as we'd like to think. And I think it also might have to do with who is "funding."Case in point:

A young man at a college went to Africa and witnessed a mother who did not have AIDS and a father who did not have AIDS but somehow the daughter did. He went back and reported this to his college and he got kicked out. Now why would a college do that?

Not all colleges and universities do. There are plenty of consevative colleges that you could ask this exact same question about if you just replaced the word "liberal" with "conservative"

You've got to understand, being around that many different ideas and viewpoints requires a liberal stance to enforce tolerance of this and cooperation. Liberal, after all, means open to change and new ideas.

Well if you are talking from religious point of view then they don't because Creationism has no proof... (
I do believe in intelligent design) besides unless they want to tell every religions story of how world was created they might offend some one besides it might also confuse kids....

maybe you should go to a different university, because my college definitely teaches both sides in all arguments.

They teach what they believe. There are more liberal professors than conservative professors.
