i have a safrain/dalmation molly (male) that mated with a a regular molly(female) will i gte some regular molly babies? and some just dalmation babies? and some just safrain babies? and will i get some with all of it mixed?

I am not sure which gene i.e. the one responsible for the Dalmatian feature or the regular colour court is dominant. But if both of the parent mollies are homologous representative of their colour coat and this batch or for that any batch of brood these shall be F1 generation. That way the resulting colour pattern will be in the ratio 3:1 i.e one pure dominant pattern mollie, 2 dominant pattern mollies(but these will have one recessive gene for the colour pattern not manifested. and one pure recessive colour pattern coat. this was actually explained by Mendel. But for some reason if this ratio fails to happen then it would mean that the parent are not true (non-homologous)colour coat representatives of their coat.

Most will be mixed, but you should get some of each type as well.
