Has there ever been reports of someone being killed or injured by a bullet falling from the air due to a gun fired upwards.

the shots are blanks... there are no 'projectiles' in the shells... and the empty shell casings fall to the ground

so no one is ever hit or hurt by bullets

In a military 21-gun salute, blanks are fired so there is no bullets.

If you did try to go outside and shoot a rifle straight up in the air, you would see that the bullets actually "tumble" back to Earth as a result of air resistance. The terminal velocity of the bullet, which is related to the bullet's mass and size, is fairly small. A bullet does not fall at a velocity fast enough to hurt you.

Yes, they fire blanks but the empty shells are given to the widow along with the folded flag.

I am not sure if a bullet comes down at the same rate it went up because going up it has the force of the explosion ( gun powder) behind it. Therefore, it would continue straight up until it lost the ability to go any further. Gravity would pull it downward which would be based on its mass.
If it did come down just as fast ... what force propelled it to do so once it reached maximum height?
If gravity caused a bullet to travel at that rate then a sky diver should go so fast he is implanted into the ground rather than land on the ground.

They only use blanks.

However, (and I laughed my azz off when I heard this) when the sandmonkeys over in the Middle East were "celebrating" the attack on 9/11, they were dancing around and taking their AK-47's and just spraying bullets into the air like the morons that they are.

What they didn't realize is that the bullets go down as fast as they went up. They ended up shooting themselves and each other!

at the beginning, that's Salute. and how it worked as quickly as I ran it, is which you have a 7 guy front with 3 rounds each and each. It takes approximately 15 seconds to fireplace off 3 rounds in line with man or woman (21 rounds total), they pass to 'cutting-edge arms', the different lively accountability armed forces carry out a hand salute, and that they play faucets. The hand salute and cutting-edge arms are 'minimize' after the extraordinary word in faucets. No concept how the cannon salute works

terminal velocity is based on mass (and other factors) but initial velocity up is much faster than when coming down.

Mythbusters said there were two reports of people being killed from falling bullets but their tests couldn't prove it.
